Recently I was commissioned by the Cooroy Hotel in the Hinterland on the Sunshine coast to produce two works and tackle the issues of "Signage" and "heat lighting" for their new Wood fired pizzeria. It was a Big investment for the hotel , and I very am pleased to say that the area is functional, bright and the product is beautiful quality. well done to the Cooroy management team for bringing functional art in at
an early stage of the project. Below are my case study notes from the Commissioners.
I am currently commissioned to complete 8 works for a small exhibition at the W Gallery England hopefully this will happen during Autumn 2024.

Brief notes
Can you make us a sign ?
The wood fired oven was transported from Italy in a huge wooden crate. I cut parts into small blocks and scorched it to produce "wood fired blocks" attached them to a backboard made from other parts of the crate . I commissioned a fluorescent pink sign ( dimmable!) knowing it would reflect from the chrome surfaces of the bar and added a backlight to the artwork for extra lighting!
Can't purchase retractable heat lamps that reach the high ceiling to keep the pizzas warm while waiting for service?
From the old display shelves I joined boards together repainted , attached the new lighting. I then found the old kitchen equipment in storage , repurposed & repainted in bronze, used epoky resin for a dripping effect from the cutlery and pans for a culinary chandelier .
I used the same Bronze metatllic artist paint for for the damaged wallpaper that was embossed which I managed repair and cover.
I worked on this commission for artworks to be displayed in a statue garden space. Both Artworks I created for the Client were produced on marine ply and coated in epoxy resin. Thank you to the collector for allowing me to share here.
I am currently booking future Commissions. Many people spoke to me about projects at the recent art fare, if you wish to progress a project, email art@peterandrewstudio.com in the first instance and will be delighted to develop an idea with you and book the diary space . A 40% deposit is required and the final payment at my installation and or delivery.
I have been doing drawings of the Battersea Power Station throughout its development and now as it moves towards completion.
Currently we can see exciting glimpses of what's to come from this iconic London site. The presence of the large brick structure has been preserved by careful council planning. All buildings in the immediate vicinity are required to use contrasting materials but no more bricks are allowed. The reflective qualities of the glass, metallic and steel structures are always exciting to reproduce on canvas and board. .
The collector buys the original no prints or copies are made for separate sale. Each artwork is recorded and signed.
All paintings are stretched canvas over a wooden deep edge frame. The canvas is classically prepared to ensure longevity of each art work. Once completed, the work is sealed with artists varnish and air dried prior to dispatch.
All purchased art work will arrive ready to display with fittings attached.
I use four sizes of canvas. This photo gives a size guide from the largest to smallest with the frame included:
Blue 153cm x 126, Red 108cm x 80cm, Green 80cm x 56cm and Orange 48cm x 38cm.
